Beth Kobett

President

Susan Rodriguez

Vice President

Susan joined the ERR Board in December 2004. Her daughter & son run Cross Country and Track & Field for one of the area High Schools and they play Tennis as well. Her husband Miguel is an active runner and one of the more active ERR adults - always participating in our marathon relay teams.  Susan has been the Liberty cross country "team mom" for several years and has been irreplaceable as a behind-the-scenes organizer for Liberty sports and ERR.

John Liberatore

Treasurer

John and his family (wife-Patricia, sons-Ryan, Eric, daughter-Alexis, niece-Alicia) moved to Eldersburg in 1993. He played football and ran track in high school (PA State Finalist/330yd IM Hurdles) and wrestled and ran track in college. His children and his niece are currently participating in soccer, cross country, basketball, and lacrosse at Liberty H.S. His son Eric was a varsity member of Liberty 's 2004 State Championship Cross Country team, and his daughter Alexis was on the girls varsity team that year. She also plays Varsity Lacrosse. His son Ryan was a varsity player for Liberty on the 2004 and 2005 Soccer Regional Championship team, the 2004 Basketball County Championship team, and the 2004 Lacrosse State Finalist team. His niece Alicia runs track at Liberty and is a manger on the cross country team. John and Patricia have lived in Pennsylvania , Ohio , Texas , and Maryland . All four of the children in their household are native Texan's. His career has been in manufacturing management for the last 20+ years, and he is currently employed as a Production Control Manager by Northrop Grumman at their BWI location.John's children have been active in local sports for several years, with a son competing in Cross Country and basketball for LHS. John & his wife Patricia grew up in Pennsylvania and are residents of Eldersburg.

Dan Jones

Communications Offficer

A 1987 graduate of Liberty High, Dan has lived in Carroll County for 29 years. He has been coach of the Liberty Cross Country team for 18 years, and coached the track and field team for 6 years where he has been Carroll County Coach of the Year 3 times and guided his team to 3 straight state titles. He received a BS in Social Sciences with a minor in Secondary Education from Towson State University . He currently works full-time as a paramedic/firefighter for the Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department.  

Matt Kelsh

Adult Program Director

Matt and his wife Cathy have lived in Eldersburg for 12 years. They have 2 sons, Pat and Dan, who have been involved in Cross Country and Track at Liberty HS, and they have enjoyed the success of being involved in a first rate program. Dan also competes for Liberty HS lacrosse. Their daughter, Molly, is currently is a member of ERR, as well as a Sykesville Raider cheerleader. Matt has worked in the insurance industry in Maryland for the last 20+ years, and Cathy is a physical therapist. Matt ran for the University of Delaware many years ago, but still holds school records in both the 5000 and 10000 meters.

Jane Linde

Community Outreach

Jane and her husband Rudy have lived in Carroll County for over 20 years. They have 3 children. Hannah is a Senior in Century High who runs indoor and outdoor track. Maura is a Sophomore at Century and she runs cross country, indoor and outdoor track as well. Their son Rudy is in 6th grade at Liberty Christian School, he is a Junior Black Belt and enjoys baseball. Jane has been a volunteer with 4H, church programs and Boy Scouts. Jane managers the family farm, is an active volunteer at school and is very involved in Girl Scouts along with her 2 daughters.

Below, we recognize past Board Members who have contributed greatly to the success of The Eldersburg Rogue Runners. While these individuals are no longer part of the governing body of ERR, you can certainly approach them to learn more about us. We hope our future success reflects well on the foundation laid by these individuals and we are proud of our association with them.

Ron Burdinski

Former - Cross Country Team Representative

Ron Burdinski was a founding Board Member of ERR. He served the club for 3 years and his son Kevin, was a member of both the 2003 and 2004 State Champion Cross Country. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Freedom Optimist Soccer Program for 6 years. During that time, his responsibilities included stints as uniform coordinator, division coordinator and author of the program's coaching guide. Ron also coached soccer for nine years, both at the recreation and travel team levels. He has been a resident of Eldersburg for 16 years and works for the Social Security Administration.

Sherry DelGiorno

Former Treasurer - Cross Country Team

Sherry Del Giorno was a founding Board Member of ERR. She has been a campaign treasurer for the last 5 years. Her eldest daughters, Jackie and Laura, attended high school in Carroll County . She has a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware . Sherry has three daughters, two at Liberty High School and one at Oklahoma Road Middle School . She has been living in the Eldersburg area for 13 years and is an active volunteer at the schools, church and the Freedom Optimist Sports Programs.

Judy Griffith

Former Track Team Representative

Judy Griffith is a parent of two runners who ran for LHS and now compete for McDaniel College . She is a first grade teacher at Carrolltowne Elementary school in Eldersburg. In the past, she has worked closely with the school to help support the Track and Cross Country program. Judy and her family have lived in Eldersburg for ten years.

Peter H. Lester, Sr.

Former President, Member of the Board of Directors

Pete Lester was the founding President of ERR and the Liberty Basketball Club - both non-profit athletic organizations. He ran track competitively and was a decathlete. Pete has been a resident of Eldersburg for 6 years. His two sons who competed for area teams in Cross Country, Track and Field, and Basketball. Both boys were members of LHS's State championship XC teams and served as captains. Pete is married to Christine and his daughter Katelyn has participated in the ERR Summer Youth Track & Field team.   

Karen Meros

Former Treasurer - Track & Field Team

Karen was a founding Board Member of ERR. She has been a CPA since 1980. She has a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance. Karen has two daughters and has been active as a Girl Scout Leader and a Softball coach for the Freedom Area Recreation Council. Karen has also served on the Board of Directors of the Early Years Learning Center at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church . Karen is currently a substitute teacher for the Carroll County Public School System and is taking classes to obtain her MSDE teacher certification.

Jack Mull

Former Secretary & Club Treasurer

Jack served as the founding Club Treasurer for three years. He ran Cross Country and was a half-miler on the track team while in high school in Pennsylvania . After college, he served in the United States Marine Corps. Recently, Jack retired from service as a detective with the Prince George 's County Police Department and accepted a position as investigator for the State's Real Estate Commission. Both his daughter and son ran Cross Country and Track for area High Schools. Jack is a very active member of the club running in many of the area's road races and has lived in Carroll County for ten years.

Beth Ridder

Former Track Team Representative

Beth Ridder has been a resident of Eldersburg for the past 6 years. She has two children who are competitive runners at Liberty High School and she has always been involved in their activities. Although not a long distance runner, Beth has maintained an exercise regime all her life. She is a strong advocate for "Cooking Light". Beth is a fiber artist and operates a small successful quilting business from her home.

Mark Smith

Former President, Member of the Board of Directors

Mark Smith became President of ERR in November of 2005. He & his wife, Lee, have been active in area sports for several years. Their four daughters compete in Cross Country, Track & Field, Soccer, Lacrosse and Basketball. Their oldest daughter runs cross country, track and plays basketball at LHS. His younger daughters have participated on ERR's Summer Youth Track & Field Team. Mark was born in Ohio , and has lived in Maryland since 1990 and in Eldersburg since 2000.

Joan Timberlake

Former Treasurer - Cross Country Team

A native of Maryland , after traveling around the U.S. for the past 18 years with her husband's Navy career, Joan has lived in Eldersburg for over 6 years! She has 3 children. Her daughter is active in an area high school where she is a member of the Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Her oldest, Taylor , enjoyed Cross Country, & indoor & outdoor track, using this training to get himself in shape for the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he currently attends. Her youngest is a second grader. She has a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University of Virginia. She currently works for Morgan-Keller, Inc., helping to build the new apartments at Fairhaven in Sykesville. She is a volunteer with FARC helping coach and manages little league baseball and adult CO-ED softball teams. She has just taken up running the past couple of years and has a new appreciation for those long distance runners out there!

Gene Williams

Former Treasurer - Track & Field Team

Gene Williams is a native Floridian who has been a resident of Marriottsville for over 9 years. Gene has a very long and diverse sports background having completed in football, basketball, baseball, wrestling, and track and field at the high school and/or college levels. Gene attended college on a football scholarship, and was on many all-star teams, including the AP Division I All-American Team. In track and field, his college focus was the long and triple jumps. Gene graduated from the Virginia Military Institute with a BS in Mathematics, and is currently an Engineering Director for Verizon Communications. He is married to Margot and has two children, both Liberty Hi students: Bradley (12th grade) and Chelsea (10th grade). Brad and Chelsea will participate in the Summer Track and Field program. Gene primarily takes his instructions from Margot.

 

Bob Ward

Webmaster

Robert Ward coached for six years at Liberty High School in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field. Robert ran competitively in both High School and College for 8 years for 19 teams. While attending college, during school breaks he worked with all three running teams at Liberty High School as a volunteer. Bob has assisted with three state champion Cross Country Teams, two State runner-up Track & Field Teams, two state champion relay teams and 4 individual state champions in his six years. Bob was been a resident of Eldersburg for 26 years, but has recently moved to Owings Mills.
