Several of the Eldersburg Rogue Runners took at trip up to the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia to see the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships. For all of them except Bobby Ward, it was their first college xc race they had every seen. Here is what they had to say about their experience at the a college xc race:

"Seeing a real college race really inspired me and made me want to run in college. I can't wait to be one of those runners ou there. I was very impressed by Widener's #1 runner and Shifflett ran an awesome race for us. " ~Caitlin Riebau

"It was interesting to see how similiar it was to the high school CC event. I could see our kids competing at the college level. The trip was easy, the kids were low maintenance, a good time all around. " ~Jim Ridder Sr.

"I had a very good experience at the MAC Championships. It was interesting to see what a college race is like. I really enjoyed watching Lindsay run. " ~Katie Griffith

"I liked watching the different races and how the different people run and the strides of the different people! I loved watching Lindsay run! I loved cheering for her and making her laugh! It was a lot of fun! ~Stacey Smith

"Shiffy! She's not the only red head and she got faster for us! Yea, guys in college are real fast, but I can run with them easily. College isn't that bad and you are allowed to talk to the fans while you run! The experience itself was awesome!!" ~Frank Sisolak

"I had a fun time watching the MAC Championships. It was cool to see a college race and see how fast every one could run. I liked seeing Lindsay again, and it was exciting to watch her race. She did very good. I really enjoyed coming to the race." ~Rachel Griffith

"Watching all the college runners was awesome. At first I was like why are they going slow, our boys can go that fast. But then I remembered that they also run a lot farther! Seeing Shiffy was great. She laughed everytime we cheered for her." ~Kaitlin Rodriguez

"I enjoyed this experience. It enabled me to witness what it is like to run in college. It seemed incredibly similar to high school (atmosphere wise) except there was a lot more focus." ~Kevin Burdinski

"I really enjoyed seeing teams executing different strategies. For instance, in the guys race, Susquehanna went out fast, while Widener and Etown sat back. Wow, the way Macharia controled the race, even when he wasn't in the lead. You could tell he had a plan, and took over at the exact point he saw in his mind. His stride was amazing, his determination up Flag Pole Hill was even more incredible. Shifflett ran awesome, I am so proud of how far she has come. I was also proud of my alumni, Widener University, for running a tough race. " ~Bobby Ward
