Photos from the 2007 Run From the Lion's Den

The boys race was a very competitive race. Even after 1000 meters (pictured here) the lead group was very large consisting of 20+ runners.

Westminster continues to use the pack mentality. They run close together and run a terrific second half of the race to keep them towards the top of the team rankings in meets. Here 5 Westminster runners are together after 1000 meters of the race.

Eric & Eric: Eric Liberatore (Liberty) and Eric Tringali (Winters Mill) hit the top of Killer Hill and sprint to a great finish for their teams.
Parker and Hughes put in a great surge at the end of the race to help their teams grab a few extra points.
Pat Dougherty of Liberty, an ERR member, is running his fourth year with Liberty.
The girls start wasn't as crowded as the boys, but it didn't mean there was any less talent in the field. Carroll County ran great in the race placing 7 runners in the top 10.
ERR Member Maura Linde (Century) continues to impress. She would place 8th and for the first time lead her team for the day.
Casey Haddaway of Westminster works on passing a pack of girls as they near the 2nd mile.
Liberty runners Caitlin Hill and Hannah Kobett try to use each other as they put some distance on the runners behind them.
Anna DeMaree of River Hill is a former member of ERR. Anna ran for ERR's summer track team. Anna placed 2nd in the race - losing only to her teammate who is the #1 runner in the state for 2a right now.
