Ali Thompson (Westminster) and Erin Slifer (SC) use the downhill on a hilly course at the Mountain Run. Both ran excellent races, picking off a few runners in the 2nd half of the race.

A young Winters Mill runner is set to start up the tough hill. While the course is raved about how hard the course is, the Carroll Athletes seemed at home on the hills given the type of courses most of the teams see on a regular basis.

Alison Eaton of Westminster helped the Owls defeat Century for the first time this year and a 3rd place overall finish.
Catherine Robinson of South Carroll raced for the first time since the Howard County Invite, and ran very well in placing 3rd for her team.
Jessica Johnson (SC) and Katie Mead (Century round the tree with about 800 meters to go. We have noticed a marked improvement over the first 2 weeks of the season in Jessica.
Rachel Sykes was in 2nd for much of the race, but somewhere within the last 800 meters she overtook the leader to win her second straight invitational and 3rd meet of the year.
Maura Linde of Century is racing extremely well and is gaining a lot of experience as a freshman on the varsity team.
