Meet Summary:

The photos below were taken at a quad meet held out SC HS. It was clear, a light breeze and about 76 degrees at race time. The course was dry and hard. The four teams in attendance were: Liberty , North Carroll, South Carroll, & Walkersville. ERR member Jimmy Ridder of LHS won the boys race in a time of 17:33. Katie Hursey of North Carroll won the girls varsity race in a time of 19:36.

The host team, South Carroll High School poses for a picture… they are looking ready to defend their turf.

The Girl's Varsity Race is under way. North Carroll's Katie Hursey lead the race from the sound of the gun. Here, the pack follows on her heals with South Carroll's Lindsay Warfield leading the way.

The start of the JV race. With light starting to fade, the boys and girls JV teams ran together. The first 100 yards of the race is flat – then runners must tackle a 200 yard incline.

LHS had three Freshman step up to Varsity for this race. Here, Tim and Daniel pursue two runners from North Carroll. The third freshman, Andrew Cross placed second in a time of 17:48. It is good to see Daniel's hare work paying off. He has been running with ERR since 6 th grade.

Two runners in the varsity race attack a hill by the field hockey field right before the two mile point.

In the JV race, three runners sprint toward the finish. The South Carroll course is a great Cross Country course – by most measures, tough, but fair. The hill in the woods is the “Unseen Beast. ”

ERR member Molly Timberlake crosses the finish line while teammates and parents cheer her on.
