On April 14th, the Eldersburg Rogue Runners hosted Cross Country Races at Oklahoma Road Middle 
School for Elementary and Middle School athletes. Despite the threat of thunderstorms and church 
related activities, ERR was pleased with the turnout for the new event. It was the first time ERR 
had sponsored Cross Country races for these age groups and they are hosting races again next Friday 
(April 21st at 4:30 PM)  as a tune up for the upcoming USA T&F Outdoor Track & Field season which 
starts on April 24th. 

The Girls Elementary race was won by Anna Hohl. Anna covered the 1 mile course in 7:51.   The Boys 
Elementary race was won by Marshall DeMaree who covered the same distance in 7:18.

The Middle school races covered a 1.5 mile course and were won by Anna DeMaree (11:02) and Taylor 
Smith (9:58).  The boys middle school race was exciting with Smith besting Grant DeMaree, who lead 
the entire race.Taylor nipped Grant at the finish line beating him by less than 3-tenths of a second.
